Richard Ruppel, John Lyle – IBM
Abstract
Db2 has many improvements over the years along with recommendations to exploit
these items and use best practices to optimize capacity, availability, and performance.
Today, Universal Tablespaces for PBR or PBG are the norm along with 10 byte LRSNs.
How do you determine if you are lagging or current with these features? If you are
behind and need to catch up, how do you identify objects that need a REORG for
schema changes, and what are the best practices and strategy for embracing the future
and scheduling your REORGs as smoothly as possible? This session will address some
of your major concerns so you come away with a much clearer picture of the task in
front of you.
