Rabah Beggar – Broadcom

Abstract

IMS database reorganization is essential for maintaining optimal performance and availability of IMS applications. Many IMS administrators face challenges in determining the right timing and methods for reorganizing their databases. This presentation explains why reorganization is important, what factors influence it, and what tools can help administrators make informed decisions. It also showcases conditional reorg, and how that can be used to automatically assess the health of the database internal structure prior to the reorganization.
