Abstract
Now you have an IMS Catalog and have to keep it running optimally. This session looks at the utilities that are available, some that have been available for a while and others new to IMS, to keep the Catalog running optimally. Maintain it. Recover it. Keep it available. A review of the catalog and options specifically needed for the IMS catalog and directory maintenance will be included.
Speaker Bio
Dennis has over 45 years of experience with ‘mainframe’ operating systems and database systems experience. He has worked as a developer, a consultant, business partner, competitor and vendor to IBM. Dennis is currently a member of the IMS Support team of the Washington Systems Center. His spare time is spent practicing the Gentle Way.
