John Baker – IBM
Abstract
Z platform subsystems produce an incredibly rich set of activity and performance metrics. This session will highlight how great visibility into those metrics for IMS and Db2 subsystems can be leveraged to enhance performance and availability management for those areas as well as across the platform.
The session will be organized around types of capabilities that enhance your ability to derive actionable insights from your data demonstrated through actual use cases. One area of focus will be how integrated visibility into IMS and Db2 metrics enhances collaboration across teams and lowers barriers to entry for newer analysts as well as enables deep specialists in one area to expand their skills and contributions across other disciplines.
Attendees will leave this session with an expanded vision of the potential value they can gain from modernized ways of leveraging subsystem performance data to enhance their overall operation as well as personal effectiveness.
